French taught from lived understanding

Marie‑Rose Omokhodion is Ivorian, a native French speaker and an experienced qualified educator. She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology, PTTLS Level 4, and a BA in Learning and Teaching from the University of Northampton. Marie‑Rose was a full-time staff member of the Ivorian Embassy in Lagos. Her professional translation experience also includes serving as a translator at a joint international conference engagement in Abuja involving the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB)—now the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB)—and IATA.

A mother, wife and author, she combines academic understanding with the lived knowledge of someone who moves naturally between French- and English-speaking cultures.

Her approach is practical, encouraging and personal: clear explanation, careful pronunciation, useful conversation and steady progress. Her background in sociology also brings cultural understanding to language learning, particularly for learners connecting the UK, Europe, Anglophone Africa and Francophone Africa. Just Learn French places her real teaching presence at the centre, supported—not replaced—by digital exercises and AI-assisted practice.
